Facebook updated yet another mobile application, rolling out version 3.0 of its Pages Manager for iOS, with new features including the ability for page administrators to pin and unpin posts on their pages.
Facebook is testing an expansion of the pinning feature on pages’ timelines to groups, allowing group administrators to pin multiple posts, unlike timeline for pages, where only one post can be pinned at a time.
If your brand’s Facebook page isn’t exactly the life of the social media party, there’s still hope. Digital marketing agency iCrossing studied the brand pages of Fortune 500 companies for one year and came up with some ways that engagement can be fostered. The most successful company timelines are the ones that maximize milestones, larger images, highlighting and pinning, along with the new about section.
Simple Usability tapped into the insights of a very effective, discerning analytics and research tool to determine which elements of Facebook’s new timeline for pages are effective at drawing the attention of users and which aren’t: the human eye.
