Facebook appears to be testing a new way for page administrators to promote their websites.
Earlier this month, Facebook revamped the layout of its top suggestions page, which provides users with suggestions of pages they might like. Now it appears that the social network is targeting page administrators who visit the top suggestions page with a house ad urging them to promote their pages and get more likes.
Facebook has long allowed page administrators to promote individual posts, but now the site is apparently pushing more options for marketers to pay to amplify pages themselves. As Jon Loomer points out, some pages have the option to quickly create ads to get more likes.
