Facebook has been trying to give users options for social commerce, such as proposing a “want” feature. Chirpify took it one step further. The social commerce platform recently teamed up with country singer Tim McGraw for an interesting promotion. Facebook users who already have Chirpify accounts were able to purchase McGraw’s newest album simply by commenting, “buy.”

That was just one nugget of information from the Facebook Data Science Team, which analyzed posts on the social network that were anonymized and processed automatically by users who identified themselves as parents or children to get a better sense of how families interact with each other on Facebook.
