Go WEST, young women: Facebook, Box and Pinterest teamed up to form pilot mentorship program Women Entering and Staying in Tech, aiming at maintaining and furthering interest by women in tech careers, the three companies announced at the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing in Phoenix Wednesday.

Facebook launched a new ad product aimed at helping brands target its approximately 23 million Hispanic U.S. monthly active users, dedicated U.S. Hispanic brand offers, and the social network also announced that it opened an office in Miami to serve agencies and advertisers that focus on Hispanic consumers.
In February, the business, tech, and social media industries were abuzz with the results of a study by the Pew Research Center’s Internet & American Life Project, during which it was revealed that in America, “droves of users” were taking breaks from Facebook. In the days that followed, the headlines worried about the fact that 27 percent of people were planning on taking a break from the world’s largest and supposedly most popular networking site.
