Brazil’s got game on Facebook. Among Caribbean and Latin American countries active on the social network, the home of the world-famous Carnivale boasts close to 50 million users (the biggest swarm within the region) and annual growth of 144 percent, making it the country in these regions with the fastest growth.
Online analytics firm ComScore released the latest figures Wednesday about how many people are visiting Facebook. The report showed that unique visitors were down in May from April and March, indicating that the site’s growth might be tapering off.
According to the latest figures from comScore, Facebook’s user growth figures for April were down dramatically, with the social network up just 5 percent in unique visitors versus April 2011, following growth rates of 24 percent last year and 89 percent in April 2010.
