Facebook users are currently reporting that they’ve been receiving an email that states “Facebook Password Reset Confirmation” but as usual, this email is completely fake. In fact, it’s not only fake but it also contains a virus. Facebook is currently letting users know that the email

Facebook users are now a target of a new virus attack that is being spread through emails. Apparently Facebook users are getting emails with the title “Update Account Agreement“. The email is pretended to be sent out by the Facebook Team and encourages the users to download an attached zip file, “agreement.zip“.

Facebook is no stranger to phishing scams and today another one is making its way around Facebook. The scam gets users to fill in their email address and password and then posts 25 wall messages on the walls of the user’s friends. What makes this version of the scam unique is that if the user deletes the wall posts, this system is apparently smart enough to post additional wall posts.

There’s a new virus spreading around the web via email which targets Facebook users. According to mxlab, the email includes downloadable files which include the Trojan virus: Bredolab. While I’d imagine that Gmail and more aggressive spam blocking email services will filter this out, anybody who receives a “Facebook Password Reset Confirmation” email should delete it right away.

A new Facebook Connect application has spread quickly around the Facebook social graph by tagging all of a user’s friends who have the same zodiac sign. This is the latest in a series of new photo tagging applications which have been spreading like wildfire across the site. The Facebook platform lets users easily tag their friends but by prompting users for unrestricted posting and unrestricted photo upload permissions, the application is able to spread like crazy. It leads me to wonder whether Facebook will begin cracking down on these types of apps.
