Facebook wants to push more notifications, alerting users that there are games to be played and applications with which to be interacted, but it wants to make sure that it doesn’t spam people. The site announced Friday that is putting more controls in place to ensure that users aren’t bombarded with notifications that will only be ignored or hidden.

Ryan talked about how Facebook games are now a worldwide phenomenon and also addressed subscriptions, SongPop, trends, and 3D games.

The social network noted that companies such as Kixeye have utilized payer promotion to grow revenue and get gamers more fiscally involved.

Facebook announced Monday that its app center portal for discovery of applications is now available to 100 percent of its users in the U.S., Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, and the U.K.
