As more users access Facebook from their mobile phone, it’s not always a smartphone. Now Facebook has made it easier for companies to target ads to people using feature phones. Sister site Inside Facebook noted that the Power Editor and Ads Application Programming Interface (API) includes better options for targeting ads at feature phone users only.
For the past year, feature phone users have been shown Facebook ads, but it has been difficult to deliver ads specifically only to feature phone users when they are on their devices. But now, “feature phones only” is an option when creating an ad.
Previously, advertisers could designate their ads for mobile, and pick iOS or Android, but now they can choose to only show ads to users on feature phones.
