If ticket sales rise when mentioned on Facebook, then why not sell tickets through a Facebook platform?
Tekiki is setting out to do just that, launching a platform that enables users to sell tickets and other items within Facebook.
The service is integrated with the Facebook wall, allowing for easy sharing of transactions, which aims to motivate additional purchases by friends with similar interests.
Founder Clarence Hu said Tekiki differentiates itself from other ticket-selling platforms with its “butler” service, meaning that event organizers email details and Tekiki handles the site creation and posting. Money received from ticket sales is routed directly to the event organizer.
Tekiki also allows event organizers to create micro-sponsorships in order to generate additional revenues.
