European online, mobile, and social ticketing solutions provider Ticketscript introduced an application to allow music fans to buy tickets for music concerts via Facebook.
Ticketscript said its plug-and-play ticketing tool is currently being used to sell tickets and promote more than 30,000 events throughout Europe, and Chief Executive Officer Frans Jonker added:
The music industry is changing, and bands now have the ability to build closer relationships with their fans through direct-to-fan ticketing. Ticketscript has helped Field Music to take more control of its ticketing allocations and promotion, allowing it to build its brand and fan base in parallel.
Ticketmaster is still the big fish in the ticketing industry, but with Facebook ticketing solutions such as those introduced by Ticketscript, ticket aggregator TiqIQ, and Tekiki, among others, could this be the start of a Facebook ticket-selling app battle?
