There’s been a bunch of buzz about tonight’s NBA All-Star game which TNT was streaming live on their website. Facebook even sent out a message to all the media members tonight notifying them of the launch of their live streaming widget that is embedded next to the live video feed. Unfortunately TNT’s NBA site doesn’t appear to be working, but one thing that is working perfectly is the live feed widget that I wrote about back in January.
Initially I thought it was working because Facebook had “re-enabled” it for the All-Star game. David-Benjamin Brakha pointed out to me that the live feed widget that is currently accessible again is for the CNN application. Most likely, someone at Facebook accidentally enabled more then one live feed widget when the TNT stream when live. Whatever the reason for it returning, I would imagine that it will be disabled within hours.
Hopefully TNT will get their act back together although at this point, I’d imagine that the All-Star game is just about over if it isn’t already. Let us know if you can access the live stream because we most definitely can’t. I wrote about the NBA All Star coverage earlier this week and for some people, I’m hoping it was a good experience.
Thankfully, those users who are Facebook feed addicts can at least enjoy the CNN live feed widget while it lasts. Honestly I think Facebook should enable this service indefinitely but by itself this is clearly not a mainstream solution. Let us know if you can also access the CNN stream or if you are ever able to access the online stream of the All Star game.
