Visit TripAdvisor’s homepage on Facebook, and you see all of your friends’ travel maps overlaid onto your own, so you can see which destinations and activities are most popular among your crew.
Click through to a destination page within TripAdvisor, and you see reviews by your friends. The same goes for any hotel, attraction, or restaurant in any locale.
Obviously, the more your pals post their opinions, the more personalized your experience of TripAdvisor’s recommendations will be. If no one you know has posted anything within the application, you’ll see recommendations from people who aren’t on your friend list.
Don’t fret if your own friends don’t use the application yet — almost one out of every ten Facebook users use TripAdvisor on a monthly basis. Surely some of them will have suggestions you’ll find relevant.
