This week has been explosive for one television show from Turkey. As the third season is underway, the social networking home for “1 Kadin 1 Erkek” offers likers clips and a place to chat. The series claims the top spot with an impressive weekly growth total of 216,566.
Richard Hammond – nicknamed Hamster – is best known for his role on British series “Top Gear.” Hisfan appreciation page caught steam and is working toward the million milestone; the past seven days 196,049 new likes were counted as Hamster nabs second place.
Italian motorcycle racer Rossi Valentino was a popular name around Facebook last week; the vastly expanding fan page for the daredevil lands in third place as it accrued 191,793 social networkers.
Diehard football fans were routing for Edwin Van der Saar to help lead Manchester United to victory in championship. His team may have come up short, but the goalkeeper rests just behind Valentino on our list with a 170,807 seven day increase.
Reality series “The Voice” brings Blake Shelton into homes around the country each week, and the country music star has quite a few hits under his belt. His social networking hub covers topics surrounding the show, but it was the recent announcement of his new album and new single that helped Shelton’s page explode in popularity. The country songwriter is quickly closing in on one million fans, and this week 167,573 likers place him in the fifth position.
Grunge band Pennywise witnessed a rousing amount of activity since last Monday. The page takes the seventh spot with a 152,243 weekly growth increase. Christian singer Alex Campos is a household name in Columbia and continues to increase in popularity globally; the musician is not far off in eighth with the help of 145,663 new fans.
What is easily the biggest surprise to me on the list this week, and mind boggling in general, a George W. Bush fan page titled Miss Me Yet has spent the greater part of May increasing in popularity. The page takes its largest leap forward as it takes sixth place with 159,439 new likes tallied.
In the ninth position, Islamic religion page Allah (c.c) rests comfortably in ninth on our list welcoming 133,420 people.
