You Can Now Share Instagram Photos On Facebook Automatically

Instagram, which was recently acquired by Facebook, will start integrating social sharing options into the application. Now, Instagram users can choose to automatically have their photos post to their Facebook timelines.

You’ll be happy to know that automatic sharing is turned off, by default, according to Instagram’s help center. You can turn timeline sharing on via the sharing settings screen, shown above.

App blog AppGuide wrote about this new integration feature:

Activity will display both in the ticker and in your timeline and news feed.  For example, automatic sharing to Facebook of photos you like, or “heart,” on Instagram will now be an option — although we’re not sure when exactly.

This is the first step that the two companies have taken since Facebook bought the popular photo app for $1 billion in April. However, the sale is under investigation in the U.S. and the U.K.
