When thinking of uses for Facebook’s new graph search feature, job recruiting may not have been top of mind, but social employee referral-management platform Zao pointed out that graph search is actually well suited for social recruiting.

Zao pointed out that the targeted searches enabled by graph search are a perfect fit for recruiters searching for talented potential candidates based on their interests and experiences, adding that:

  • One out of five Facebook users had contacts share jobs on the social network.
  • 14 percent search specifically for jobs on Facebook.
  • 52 percent of job seekers incorporate the social network into their job searches.
